Mission Darkness™ Exodus EMP Faraday Car Cover
The Mission Darkness™ Exodus EMP Faraday car cover is a large-scale Faraday enclosure, specifically designed to protect vehicles against a high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP/EMP), a coronal mass ejection (CME), or other related events.
The high shielding properties of this cover divert harmful electromagnetic fields away from highly sensitive electrical components—such as those built into vehicles—thereby protecting their operation.
It is constructed with two layers of TitanRF™ Faraday fabric and features no exposed seams (no perforations), maintaining 100% continuous surfaces. The material has been laboratory tested and certified as "compliant" under the MIL-STD-188-125 standard for electromagnetic protection of C4I ground installations. The results guarantee that the material exceeds military shielding requirements against natural or man-made EMPs.
In the event of a HEMP/EMP or CME, everything from national electrical infrastructures to personal electronic devices could be destroyed, making it essential to protect survival equipment—including vehicles.
The spacious interior accommodates different types of vehicles, including:
- Trucks
- SUVs
- Automobiles
- ATVs
- Motorcycles
It can also be used to protect large electronic equipment, such as satellites, trailer-mounted commercial generators, survival gear, and machinery.
The cover includes a robust structure made of 1.5" (3.8 cm) reinforced steel with metal corner joints, providing stability and security.
The one-piece Faraday cover fits snugly over the top and side walls, achieving a precise closure around the structure. The top cover falls over the floor's Faraday base, forming a fully sealed Faraday chamber that effectively blocks radio frequency (RF) signals.
The rubber mats should be placed on the conductive base according to the width of the vehicle's wheels. Once the vehicle is stored inside, it is recommended to place flat weighted objects on the outer edge—for example 2" x 4" (5.1 cm x 10.2 cm) wooden boards, not included—to apply pressure to the RF-blocking seal.
Access to the vehicle can be made as needed, simply by removing the boards and lifting the top cover.
Mission Darkness developed the Exodus EMP Faraday Car Cover because the available alternatives on the market were 3 to 5 times more expensive, difficult to obtain, had long lead times, were heavy, and were impractical for most uses.
This Faraday enclosure is easy to install, compatible with different types of vehicles, and effectively blocks RF signals, offering peace of mind knowing that the vehicle remains protected.
