Magnet Forensics, a global leader in investigative intelligence solutions, today announced the acquisition ofV2 Forensics, a company specialized in drone forensics and developer ofDesign, an industry-first solution for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) forensic investigations. This acquisition expands the reach of Magnet Forensics' comprehensive investigative solutions, incorporating specialized capabilities in drone forensics along with mobile, computational, cloud and vehicular forensics.

Drone technology is already integrated into areas of public safety, national security and commercial sectors, generating new investigative challenges. As drones become more advanced and widely used, investigators are increasingly confronted with UAS devices involved in incidents ranging from criminal activity and negligent damage to border security, prison contraband delivery, and threats to critical infrastructure.
