What is XRY Cloud?

XRY Cloud recovers data beyond the mobile device itself from connected cloud storage using tokens on mobile devices that allow applications to function without the need for users to re-enter their login data. This is particularly useful when searching for online data from social networks and application-based information for services such as Facebook, Google iCloud, Twitter, Snapchat, WhatsApp Instagram and more.

You can use XRY Cloud both with the actual device in your possession and without it. XRY Cloud is a separate component within the XRY software.

For Android devices, XRY can decode file metadata even if the actual file data is not present on a device. This includes apps such as Dropbox Google Drive and previously inserted SD cards. This can lead investigators to new potential sources of evidence accessible with XRY Cloud.

Automatic mode

Based on application tokens recovered during a standard smartphone extraction with XRY, the user can recover the cloud data. In addition, XRY Cloud will show the authorized analyst recovered items that they can use to locate online data. Assuming Internet connectivity is enabled, all the user has to do to recover cloud-stored data with XRY is select and click.

External recovery

XRY Cloud allows analysts to recover cloud-stored data without physically having the mobile phone. Users can select XRY-compatible applications and attempt to recover data. All cloud data can be combined into an XRY process file to ensure that all data is stored in a single location.
