Each FRED SR comes standard with a triple RAID chassis containing 15 hard drives
for reliable, high-capacity redundant storage. Using 10 TB drives, the effective RAID5 storage capacity of a FRED SR is 140 TB. For case data evidence/archiving, FRED SR includes an LTO Ultrium 7 tape drive capable of archiving up to 15 TB of compressed data. FRED SR is a great solution for forensic departments looking to transition from local

Unmatched forensic imaging: UltraBay 4d™ and forensic drive trays
New for 2019, FRED Sr systems gain additional forensic imaging capability through innovative FRED HotSwap Drive forensic trays. Integrated with USB 3.1 technology, FRED forensic drive trays support imaging of SATA drives in a forensic manner. These trays are user-selectable read/write or read-only, doubling their system utility. Using modern forensic imaging software, speeds exceeding
24 GB/min have been achieved. The venerable UltraBay 4d is a proven workhorse used to image SATA, SAS, USB, FireWire, IDE, and PCIe storage devices. The touch-screen user interface displays device information independent of the operating system. With Tableau Imager, UltraBay 4d supports simultaneous or sequential drive imaging when multiple devices are connected. For general-purpose drive work, a front-panel switch safely manages the change between read-only and read-write mode.
