Advanced Smart Device Analysis (ASDA)

Advanced Smart Device Analysis (ASDA): this new and exciting course explores how evidence is stored and maintained on smartphones, tablets, watches, and other smart devices. Students will learn where smart device artifacts are stored and how to recover this evidence. Topics include Apple iOS, the Android operating system, and the Windows operating system, as well as geolocation and cellular tower network analysis.

Students will learn a proprietary and comprehensive method for analyzing and discovering data from major smart device cases, their applications, their links to networks and other devices or personal computing systems, tracking artifacts and other data, culminating in a comprehensive report with all evidence and recommendations.
