Magnet Forensics Acquires High Peaks Cyber, Further Strengthening Magnet GRAYKEY Labs Research Team
Magnet Forensics Inc., a developer of digital investigation solutions for more than 4,000 businesses and public safety agencies in more than 100 countries, today announced that it has acquired the strategic intellectual property assets of High Peaks Cyber, a company dedicated to developing and delivering full spectrum cyber capabilities in the government and commercial sectors.
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Utica, New York, High Peaks Cyber helps clients address their toughest cyber challenges with deep expertise in Android and iOS mobile device security, exploitation solutions, and vulnerability research. As part of this transaction, Magnet Forensics gains a highly experienced team of innovative researchers to add to its world-class research and development team.

The High Peaks Cyber team will contribute to the Magnet Forensics vulnerability research team, known as Magnet GRAYKEY Labs, which includes applied vulnerability researchers, exploitation engineers and access engineers. The team is dedicated to discovering 0-day vulnerabilities, creating robust exploits, and scaling the deployment of those capabilities. The GRAYKEY Labs team also works closely with clients to ensure critical law enforcement missions have timely and reliable access to all mobile devices in their investigations.

Under the terms of the agreement, Magnet Forensics will acquire High Peaks Cyber's strategic intellectual property assets and hire the High Peaks Cyber team. The deal was completed on January 12, 2024. The parties agreed not to disclose any details of the transaction.
